Chemical Process Engineer, Technical Sales Support

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform assigned fine sampling and in-process activities, according to Wartburg SOP and industry standards.To successfully work alongside production management, customer service and onsite customer representatives to produce quality results.

 

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with key customer contacts to understand origin of material
  • Liaise and assist Customers by providing information and know-how needed to accurately complete material profile questionnaires and Safety Data Sheets
  • Provide in-depth technical knowledge and application support to the applicable Wartburg departments
  • Liaise and assist the Sales department by evaluating feasibility of potential new material streams
  • Perform remote and on-site troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Assemble and lead project teams.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as assigned based on business needs.
  • Adherence to Code of Conduct as applicable to job function:  CoC Guideline No. 1:  Guideline for the Procurement of Products and Services, No. 2:  Guideline for the Prevention of Bribery in Commercial Transactions,  No. 4:  Guideline for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Participation in Criminal Acts.

 

What is required for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent expereince
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in industry setting is preferred
  • Project management expereince is preferred
  • Strong customer focus and takes ownership of internal challenges
  • Well-organized and self-directed team player that can successfully lead teams
  • Experience working with international colleagues and/or customers as well as a comfort level reporting in a matrix organization
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
