The primary responsibility for this job is to perform all production activities, including planning, monitoring and coordination of all equipment and materials in conjunction with the Production Manager to best meet the needs of the production schedule for the High Grade department.

Your Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Leads the crew in the day-to-day operations and strives to increase productivity standards.
  • Coordinate production with the Production Manager regarding the daily capacities and priorities.
  • Assigns staff and coordinates flow of work between shifts.
  • Responsible for the operational training for all high grade team members and visiting operators assigned to the High Grade department. 
  • Consults with Production Manager about such problems as equipment performance, output quality, and advises in the scheduling of maintenance requirements.
  • Acts as a liaison between management and the production crew.  Leads the production crew to achieve goals as set by the management staff.
  • Lend every assistance to assure the success of our sales network, by maintaining open and accurate communications with all Material Prep and Sampling Operators and the Production Manager.
  • Accurately complete the processing plan for every material lot processed through the High Grade department.

What is required for this Role:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of related experience.
  • The ability to obtain a forklift license is required.
  • The ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hard hat, respirator, steel toe boots) is required
