Sample Prep Technician (2nd shift)

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform assigned fine sampling activities, according to Wartburg SOP and industry standards including daily calibration, weight verification, inspection, and documentation associated with all laboratory activities and equipment. 

 

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work efficiently to assure on time delivery of sample to internal or outside lab to support customer service and on-time settlement efforts.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and professional work area. 
  • Utilizes computer software including but not limited to SAP, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel 
  • Maintain daily verification log of lab balances, scales and XRF equipment.
  • Performs all daily lab sample testing; execute customer specific sampling plan and practice good documentation practice in data entry. 
  • Responsible for compliance to the described material processing plan to meet the needs of the lab.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all samples processed in the lab. 
  • Uses SAP, HEROs Software to execute and record sample parameters and test results. 


What is required for this role:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
  • Well-organized and self-directed.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills required. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
