Strategic Sourcing Analyst

The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate precious metals (PM) strategic sourcing activities from the disposition of the material to PM return for Americas utilizing SAP. 

Your Role & Responsibility:

• Assists in optimizing material movement to subcontracting partners
• Responsible for disposition of material to most compensated subcontracting partners
• Responsible for grouping material into most advantages weight and value size for shipping. Creates Warehouse picking list, and completes shipment questionnaire 
• Proactive communications with the respective subcontractor/ business partner to cover different duties within the day-to-day operations
• Coordinates and tracks sample movements to/from respective subcontracting partner
• Organizes witnessing representative if sampling of material takes at subcontracting location
• Prepares and executes assay exchanges with respective subcontracting partners

What is required for this role:

• Graduate with business and/or technical degree with at least two years of supply chain or operations or Customer service experience. 
• Good understanding of Periodic Table and Elements
• Understanding of material classification, safety and environment impact
• Maintain awareness with all current local, state, and federal environmental regulations for handling precious metals bearing scrap/waste. 
• Import / Export Regulations for material movement to Europe and Asia
• SAP user experience is required
