The primary responsibility of this position is to provide production, facility and site maintenance support to the Wilmington manufacturing plant.  Works with members of all departments to identify, plan and implement optimal changes in methods, procedures, equipment and systems related to production, facility and grounds support.


Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain plant equipment, infrastructure, building and grounds following standard operating procedures.  This includes daily housekeeping duties as well as tasks assigned by your supervisor
  • Provide maintenance and repairs including but not limited to lathes, burners, valves, solenoids, automated equipment, grinders, saws, CNC machines, furnaces, filtration systems, plumbing, lighting, landscape, compressed air and gas systems, HVAC, jigs and fixtures, measuring and process equipment, facilities and grounds
  • Experience preferred with the following electrical test equipment:  multimeter, ammeter, anemometer, oscilloscope, megohmmeter, capacitance meter, stroboscope and similar for up to and including 480V AC and 90V DC systems and components
  • Provide support for the installation, commissioning, use, decommissioning and disposal of production and supporting equipment
  • Ensure consistent adherence of inter-plant process specifications/standards
  • Interface with other members of all departments for joint development of mutually beneficial production process improvements
  • Continuous improvement and open mindset absolutely required in all aspects of the job.  Present ideas for improvement to your supervisor for consideration
  • Work both independently and in cross-functional teams


What is required for this role:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Exceptional mechanical inclination required
  • Electrical systems troubleshooting and installation experience preferred
  • Five years of experience in an industrial environment preferred
  • Experience in fused quartz, ceramic, or glass processing is a plus
  • PLC programming knowledge and/or experience is a plus
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and humility; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet or exceed deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Team-oriented mindset required
