Heraeus Quartz North America, LLC. has an exciting opening for a Quality Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will lead our Quality Assurance team and be responsible for quality assurance systems, continuous improvement, and new product development. The successful candidate will have a background in engineering with experience in quality assurance.

 

The following challenges await you:

•    Administers the company's Quality Assurance program to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. 
•    Facilitates communications for key customers and suppliers regarding quality issues and the resolution and prevention of any challenges that may impede customer satisfaction.
•    Manage corrective and preventive actions utilizing analytical skill sets to implement root-cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action.
•    Continuously improve inspection techniques and efficiencies through use of technologically advanced and innovative methodologies, tools, and equipment.
•    Acts as a catalyst for change and improvement to enhance performance and quality.
•    Expand professional expertise and develop the quality department staff through continuous learning.
•    Establish required staff to perform all necessary incoming and final product inspections.
•    Maintains the facility Quality Systems; HPS & ISO 9001:2015 certification
•    Writes quality plans and procedures to establish standard work
•    Provides leading indicator reports that direct the business toward improvements

 

Your Profile:

•    Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering field or similar
•    Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible quality assurance experience in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment
•    Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
•    Lean and Six Sigma methodology experience required
•    Demonstrated leadership aptitude
•    Project management experience preferred

•    Able to effectively multitask within a lean organization and willing to take on new tasks or challenges.
•    Individual must possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and adherence to the attendance policy.
•    Experience with SAP QM modules preferred.
•    Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
•    Must be organized, flexible and adaptable to changing requests, requirements and priorities.
