The primary responsibility of this position is to support various departments and all US entities of Heraeus by applying comprehensive knowledge of human resource principals. concepts and best practices in implementing, developing, configuring and maintaining the HRIS system. Additional responsibilities include providing direction and assistance to employees, managers and HR field teams on systems, benefits, time and attendance, payroll and procedures. 

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with HRIS vendors, coordinating efforts with local and global IT, HR and payroll staff 
  • Participate in configuration, testing and implementation of HRIS system updates and or changes.
  • Help maintain data integrity by performing audits to ensure data quality, consistency and standards in region and global systems such as SAP, ADP and ADP etime. 
  • Analyze data flow and processes for improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain training materials related to new or enhanced HRIS system processes as well as conduct training sessions. 
  • Manage and develop data integrity protocols between HR, payroll and IT on local and global platforms.
  • Maintain database level security profiles to prevent unauthorized access to HR data and systems. 
  • Design and develop ad-hoc reports using advanced query techniques and provide analysis and interpretation of data as needed. 
  • Serve as a member of the HRdirect team providing direct support to employees for all general HR related questions regarding system access, time and attendance, benefit programs, basic payroll related questions and leave of absence management.
  • Participates in various HR activities such as wellness and benefit meetings as assigned.
  • Assist with customization of self-service reporting capabilities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in HRIS. 


What is required for this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resource related role, preferably in an HRIS.
  • Shared service work environment experience preferred.
  • Experience with benefits administration and responding to employee benefit questions.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with HR information systems implementation.
  • Experience with ADP Enterprise version Ev5 and eTime administration highly desired.
  • Familiarity of Federal and State laws such as Cobra, FMLA, STD and ADA.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task with a high level of detail orientation required.
