The primary responsibilities of this position is to contribute to the success of the Optics sales team by operating as the inside liaison for the outside sales team and for customer service-related items.


Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Performs inside sales functions for assigned customers, including entering all sales orders, and creating new customers in SAP system.
  • Responds timely and accurately to all incoming customer inquiries as appropriate.
  • Provides quotes, responds to questions, and expedites orders.
  • Refers technical issues (manufacturing or R&D) to a Sales Engineer.
  • Responsible for maintaining Optics pricing for cross company transport orders.
  • Responsible for intercompany and subcontracting purchase orders.
  • Tracks orders to ensure on time delivery.
  • Authorizes returns, processes all necessary paperwork, and approves credits for products after inspection approval has been completed.
  • Performs miscellaneous filing of sales orders, drawings, closed orders, quotes, purchase order documents, etc., as necessary.
  • Design, propose, test, and implement changes and enhancements to SAP.


What is required for this role:


  • High School diploma
  • Certificate/degree from college/university or technical school a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of Customer Service or similar experience
  • Must be proficient in ERP system such as SAP and possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business and financial acumen
