Your role and responsibilities

  • Job Summary –  This remote field sales position is located in Texas.  This position is responsible for sales of all UV Curing, Optical and Infrared products for Heraeus Noblelight America in the defined territory of responsibility.  Collaborates with sales staff, sales engineers, administration staff, technical service staff, and other staff assigned to the territory.  Develops sales plans, bookings forecasts and expense budgets, and controls operations to the budget for the territory.    
  • Manages the direct and indirect sales personnel in the territory to achieve sales, key account management, and new customer development goals.
  • Management of the day-to day activities of personnel assigned to the territory, including sales engineers, technical service staff, and administration.
  • Prepares 3-month booking forecasts by project on a monthly basis as input to manufacturing production planning.
  • Oversees performance of the sales representatives and distributors and implements changes in the distribution network as required.
  • Prepares sales operating expense budgets and manages sales operations to achieve booking goals within approved budget expenses.
  • Makes sales calls on key accounts to grow revenues and to develop new market areas, and to ensure Heraeus Noblelight's achievement of customer satisfaction goals. Organizes and conducts demonstrations and trials at customer & business partner sites.
  • Participates in professional societies and trade associations to obtain information and develop contacts in the industry. Presents papers and makes group presentations on a frequent basis.
  • Maintains regular contact with all chemistry and equipment (OEM) alliance partners and suppliers.


What is required for this role

  • BS degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline such as engineering.  
  • Experience in making customized sales and technical presentations to customers, management, scientific, technical and trade associations. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Experienced with Microsoft Office and CRM applications.
  • 5 years experience in the management of direct and indirect sales people involved in capital goods sales. Able to define work direction for self and direct reports with minimum guidance and supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience with UV curing equipment and Infrared processes and technologies and how they are used in the curing, converting, printing, and industrial coating industries.
  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time via all forms of transportation.   Valid US driver's license. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. which is a requirement for moving demo equipment.
