This position reports to the Executive Vice President, Global Head of Sales. The internal title for this position is Global Head of Strategic Account Management.   Candidates must be located in or near a major US city.


In this position you will lead the global sales team for Heraeus Medical Components.  You will directly interface with customers to position and sell Heraeus products and services in order to achieve or exceed revenue and future pipeline goals while ensuring alignment with portfolio strategies. 


Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and coaching to the global sales team and manage the performance of the team to ensure the following functional objectives are met for all strategic customers:
    • Customer needs and requirements are defined to drive quotes and proposals to meet or exceed pipeline goals
    • Pricing of quotes and proposals are negotiated by leveraging financial guidelines set by Portfolio Managers 
    • Partner with Heraeus Project Managers and engineering teams on new projects, Heraeus Sales Operations team to resolve customer-related issues with other internal departments as required and with Heraeus Portfolio Managers to help in prioritizing internal development activities
    • Create account strategies, sales plans, forecasts, and budgets for customers and products
  • Champion Sales Excellence by demonstrating and managing performance of the Global Account Management team

What is Required for this Role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience Including a minimum of 7 years direct selling experience in the medical device industry and 5 years demonstrated success in leading CDMO global sales organizations. 
  • Strong understanding of medical device design and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience and knowledge relevant to Heraeus product lines preferred
  • Must be highly motivated and able to develop relationships at all levels within target accounts
  • Will have excellent leadership and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to map out a customer, its organization, products, and future development roadmap
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and strong problem-solving skills
