Your role and responsibilities

  • Job Summary - The primary responsibility of this position is to direct the sales medical products, equipment, and services to hospitals, health systems, doctors' offices, and clinics, hiring of reps, and management of the Mid West geographic region
  • Grow the marketshare of Heraeus Medical products in the defined geographic area and sales beyond quota amount. Develop/execute territory business plan.
  • Hire, train, develop sales reps/distribution partners for products. Lead regular territory reviews with team.
  • Develop relationships with decision makers (clinical, technical and economic) in geographic area.
  • Develop and implement creative marketing strategies aimed at converting prospective customers from competitive to company products. Keep CRM software updated with appropriate information.
  • Plan and manage budget to maximize business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for formulary process in covered hospital accounts.
  • Developing and implementing special programs, i.e. speaker programs, symposia.
  • Conduct training to increase effectiveness of territory management within the region.
  • Study and keep informed on new products, technologies, clinical studies, competitive activity, and other general information of interest to company or to customers. Develop strategies and tactics to use this information to the company’s advantage.

 

What is required for this role

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business or Biology preferred) and a minimum 5 years of experience in the medical industry required.
  • Strong sales background with demonstrated performance record.
  • Ability to learn medical device product platform. 
  • Self-starter, independent sales management skills. 
  • Direct sales training and experience in medical device industry preferred.
  • Travel up to 75%
