JOB PURPOSE

Executing activities related to Continuous Improvement, involving all areas of the plant to promote elements to ensure success and positive impact and operational manufacturing practices. Include the implementation of concepts such as Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma to continuously improve production processes or internal services.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cooperate with the compliance of annual savings for the plant through cost reduction projects to achieve the annual target savings.
• Organize and facilitate improvement events (Kaizen, 8-step) to promote problem solving according to the needs of the organization.
• Coordinate, maintain and monitor the ideas program to encourage the innovation and continuous improvement through the organization.
• Coordinate, maintain and monitor the "I Comply" system to measure through monthly audits the status of quality, safety and 5's identifying opportunities to improve.
• Coordinate and maintain the Gemba Walk program in the plant to improve 5s culture in the plant.
• Cooperate with Heraeus Production System requirements implementation for each Value Stream and during HPS Assessments

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or field related)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Excellent bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and writing communication skills. Level B2
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge in Statistical techniques
• Mini tab

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years in similar positions at medical device companies
• Experience in continuous improvement projects, problem solving, Kaizen Events and Gemba Walks
• Savings, cost reduction projects. Lean methodology (Ishikawa, brainstorming, 5s, DMAIC)
• Project management experience

LICENCE OR CERTIFICATION

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Black Belt (plus)
