The primary responsibility of this position is to provide direction and leadership to matters relating to quality within the company. The incumbent also coordinates all aspects of the local sites Quality Assurance program, including developing and administering the program, training, and coaching employees, and facilitating change throughout the organization. This position establishes plans, policies, and procedures at all levels to ensure that the Quality Assurance program will meet or exceed internal and external customers’ needs and expectations.
Your Role and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as required):
- Promote safety and quality as top priorities by administering the company’s quality assurance program to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, while overseeing the internal quality audit system.
- Review and optimize existing quality systems to align with current business needs, including developing business processes that support the quality system.
- Interface with production to ensure execution of the quality assurance program and oversee quality processes like MRB, CAPA, and SCARs.
- Facilitate communications with key customers and suppliers to address and resolve quality issues.
- Maintain a data collection system for product and system quality information, also ensuring quality information management in the SAP system.
- Support new product development using SPC, FMEA, and DOE techniques to drive process improvements.
- Perform root-cause investigations for both external and internal issues.
- Manage the quality and metrology team, including supervisory responsibilities such as training, assigning work, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with the Heraeus Code of Conduct and Business Excellence programs, and coordinate need-based training programs, audits, and special projects.
What is required for this role:
- Strong business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of markets, customers, and the value chain.
- Experience in manufacturing and commercializing complex technical products, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Well-developed understanding of production processes, particularly in ceramic engineering.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership ability.
- Proficient in methodologies such as Lean Innovation, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, KATA coaching, and Agile Project Management.
- Knowledge of EHS standards within manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in 8D Root Cause Analysis, process control plans, capability studies, and corrective action reporting.
- Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of Quality Management experience and 3 years in a management role.
- Experienced in QMS auditing, ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor, and familiar with certifications like ISO9000; IATF 16949 knowledge preferred.
- Proficient in SAP, advanced Microsoft Excel, and risk analysis, with strong problem-solving skills and motivation to meet deadlines.
