From solo to symphony

"Actually, it all started quite unspectacularly. While studying medical technology, I was looking for an opportunity to learn something that would complement my studies and ended up as a working student at Heraeus Medical. Earning some money for rent and other expenses – just the right thing for me, I thought. Still wet behind the ears and a little nervous, I gained my first experiences in the team and in meetings – not always without the occasional faux pas. But making mistakes, learning, growing – that's exactly what was encouraged. This trust and security are priceless for someone who has yet to find their career path.

One day, there was a little card on my desk. A colleague had sent me the card from our thankyou@HME campaign with a personal message, full of positive feedback. “It said so many great things that I hadn't seen in myself.” Then something happened that I hadn't expected. I became a trainee and was given a development project to work on. At the beginning of the year, the trainee became a junior. I hadn't recognized my own potential - but others had.
That's what a good job sounds like
Today I know that this journey wasn't planned, but it's exactly right. No stagnation, just growth in a great team. Like in my greatest passion, music, our team is like an orchestra. Everyone contributes their own character and skills to create a beautiful symphony. And me? Of course, I'm now playing a permanent part."
