How do I apply for a job at Heraeus?

Please apply online for one of our advertised positions.

Can I also apply in writing (by post) or by e-mail?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply by post or e-mail. Please use our online application portal for your application. This is the safest way to ensure that your documents reach the right person quickly and can be processed promptly.

Are the vacancies advertised in our job market still open and are there application deadlines?

The job ads in our job market are always up to date. There are no application deadlines. Job offers that have already been filled by us will be removed from our job market immediately.

I can no longer find a job advertisement in the job market. How can that be?

If a job advertisement is no longer to be found in the job market, we have already found a suitable candidate. The application for the position is therefore no longer possible.

Can I submit an unsolicited application to Heraeus if there is no suitable position advertised online?

Unfortunately, you cannot submit an unsolicited application. You can find all current vacancies in our online job market at jobs.heraeus.com. There you have the option of filtering according to various criteria and can also save your search criteria when you create a free profile. If desired, you will receive an e-mail notification if a new position at Heraeus is published with identical search criteria.

Can I apply for several positions at the same time?

Yes, you can apply for several positions at the same time if you find different job offers interesting. Please apply separately for each position and make sure that your cover letter is worded individually.

How can I find out more about the starting date of the vacancy?

All positions are to be filled at the earliest possible date. Of course, in our recruitment process we take into account possible periods of notice that may result from your current employment relationship.

Which documents are required for the application?

Please limit your application to the most important and relevant information and documents for the respective position. For a complete review of your documents, we require a CV, relevant certificates and, in addition, we recommend a meaningful covering letter.

Which documents are required for an internship?

For a complete examination of your documents, we need a meaningful cover letter, a curriculum vitae, an overview of services and a valid certificate of enrolment.

Who do I address my cover letter to?

You will not find any specific contact person for each vacancy. Therefore, you can formulate your cover letter neutrally and use the salutation "Dear Sir or Madam", for example.

How do I find out whether my application has been received?

As soon as you have applied for a vacant position via our online application portal, you will immediately receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail. Please also check your spam folder.

How long does the online application process take?

Once you have compiled your application documents, you can upload them. The online application will take you an average of 10 minutes.

Which browsers are supported?

Our application system is optimized for the most common browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome). You can also access the system with other browsers and outdated versions, but this may result in a distorted view.

What attachments can I send with an online application?

We recommend that you upload your documents (cover letter, certificates resume or CV) as a PDF file to your applicant profile. Other common formats such as -doc, -jpg, -rtf or TXT file are also possible. Please note that your files must not exceed a maximum size of 5 MB each.

Please understand that we do not accept ZIP files.

When will I receive feedback on my application?

After successful receipt of your application you will immediately receive an automatic confirmation of receipt by e-mail. We will then carefully check your application documents. It is always our aim to give you feedback as quickly as possible. However, please understand that processing and response times may vary depending on the number of applications received. In any case, you will receive feedback from us.

Can I interrupt the application process when applying online?

You can save your application temporarily at any time and continue at a later date.

Can I change my uploaded application documents during the ongoing application process?

If you have actively applied for a specific position, you can no longer change the uploaded application documents during the application process. If you have urgent change requests, our HR team is available at hrdirect-americas@heraeus.com.

However, you can change your personal information that you require when applying for an advertised position at any time in your profile.

Can I withdraw my application?

You may withdraw your application at any time. To do so, click on the position for which you have applied in the "Jobs Applied" section. You will then find the "Withdraw Application" action at the bottom right. We will then no longer consider your application for the intended position. However, your data will remain stored in our application system. This gives you the opportunity to reapply for the same or a different position at a later date.

Is my data safe with Heraeus?

We attach great importance to data protection. This applies especially to applicant data. The secure transmission of your data and compliance with data protection are a matter of course for us.

Your data is only accessible to authorised persons. Further information can be found in our data privacy statement, which is also pointed out to you during the online application.

FAQs Candidate Profile

What is a requisition number?

Sometimes vacancies have the same or similar names. For clear identification, we assign an individual identifier, the so-called reference code, to each position.

This reference code is given with every job advertisement - whether on the Internet or in other media. When searching for a job online, the reference code helps you to filter out the right job from a large number of positions.

What is the user name?

Your user name is your e-mail address with which you registered in the first step.

What does the message "This email address is already taken" mean?

If the e-mail address is already assigned, it means that it is already registered in our system. Each e-mail address can only be entered once in the system.

Please check your entered e-mail address for possible typing errors. Perhaps another applicant with a very similar address has registered?

Or have you already registered with us before? If so, we recommend that you go to "Forgot your password?".

I have forgotten my password or it does not work. How can I request a new password?

Click on the "Forgot your password?" field and enter your e-mail address. Shortly afterwards, we will send you an e-mail with a link that will allow you to set a new password.

What is the reason if I do not see an applicant profile after registration?

If you do not see an applicant profile after registration, unfortunately your registration was not successful. Please register again.

What happens if I change my candidate profile during the application process?

If you make changes to your candidate profile, these take effect immediately and thus flow directly into open applications.

How can I check the status of my application?

You can check the current status of your application via your profile. To do this, you must log in to the online application portal using your e-mail address and password. The "Jobs Applied" tab takes you directly to your previous applications, where you can view the current status.

You will also receive the following information about your application by e-mail:

Confirmation after successful registration

Acknowledgement of receipt of application documents for an advertised position

Intermediate replies, amendments, etc.

Cancellations or invitations to job interviews

How can I delete my profile?

You can delete your profile at any time. To do so, please log in to your user account and select "Settings" in the upper menu bar. You will then find the button "Delete Profile" at the bottom right. Please note that by deleting your profile, you withdraw all current applications.
