Job Summary

The following challenges await you: 

• Ensure trade compliance in daily shipping and receiving processes as well as the coordination of import and export shipment documentation.
• Planning and daily interaction with Heraeus internal departments, other Heraeus companies, suppliers, customers and external vendors such as freight forwarders, and customs brokers. 
• Responsible for the scheduling and communication with all freight carriers
• Prepare all transportation paperwork for export shipments
• Complete daily import and export procedures
• Review and approve billing invoices from freight forwarders and customs brokers
• Maintain import, export and other related documents and information for compliance and effective tracking
• Responsible for communications within the company regarding transportation information.

Your Profile

We are looking for people who are not just open to new ideas, but want to bring fresh thinking, energy and a creative perspective to their work. Some of the traits and qualifications the ideal candidate would possess include:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping, warehouse or customer service role are required.  Two years of experience in an international shipping or customer service role is preferred.
• Organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. 
• Fully trained in Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Land, Sea, and Air. IATA/ICAO, DOT and INTERNATIONAL MARITIME
• Familiarity with NAFTA, DOT, IATA, IMO is a plus.
