At Heraeus Covantics, our Supply Chain is not a support function — it is a core driver of operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who is ready to take full ownership of how materials, information, and people come together on our shop floor, while also contributing to global Supply Chain alignment.
This role offers the opportunity to balance local execution with global collaboration, lead a critical function, develop people, and help shape a growing manufacturing operation within a strong international organization.

About the role
This position is based at our manufacturing facility in Buford, Georgia and operates in a matrix reporting structure, reporting both to the Plant Manager and to the Global Supply Chain Manager (Europe).
You will be a key member of the local plant leadership team, while also serving as the link between the factory and global Supply Chain governance, standards, and best practices.
You will have full responsibility for production planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, SAP master data, and leading the site S&OP process in collaboration with global S&OP planners.

Your impact
As Supply Chain Manager, you own the end to end flow of materials and information through the plant, ensuring alignment between local operational needs and global Supply Chain objectives.
Your responsibilities include:
•    Leading production planning activities, including decisions on what to build, production timing, and release of orders to the shop floor
•    Developing and maintaining feasible production schedules, including capacity planning across the plant
•    Establishing inventory targets and actively managing inventory to meet service, cost, and working capital goals
•    Leading and continuously improving warehouse operations and material handling systems
•    Managing the site’s internal S&OP process with support from the Global S&OP planner, aligning demand, supply, and capacity 
•    Owning all logistics activities, including imports, freight forwarder coordination, and shipping cost optimization
•    Monitoring production order cycle times to meet turnover and performance targets
•    Ensuring SAP master data integrity (Material Master, BOMs, routings, work centers, MRP, purchasing data)
•    Acting as the primary interface between the plant and global Supply Chain stakeholders

•    Hire, develop, coach, and lead the Supply Chain team
•    Set clear goals and expectations aligned with both plant and global objectives
•    Conduct performance reviews and address performance and conduct issues

Who we are looking for
You are a confident, hands on Supply Chain leader who thrives in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working in a matrix organization with international stakeholders.
You bring:
•    Experience leading S&OP processes
•    Strong operational understanding of end to end material flow
•    High emotional intelligence and well developed leadership skills
•    A data driven and analytical approach with strong business acumen
•    Clear and frequent communication, especially during challenging situations
•    A strong commitment to Safety, People First, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and DEI

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
•    Minimum 3 years of management experience in a production environment
•    Strong SAP experience preferred, particularly with Master Data
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
•    Experience working with international teams and global functions is a plus
•    Ability to work extended hours when required
•    Up to 10% travel
