Materials Manager

• Establish and manage inventory levels, provide build-to-forecast plans, and handle obsolete materials.
• Determine product needs, schedule production, and release products onto the shop floor, including capacity calculations.
• Develop systems to improve warehouse operations, manage logistics, and minimize shipping costs.
• Ensure integrity of SAP Master Data (Material Master, Work Centers, BOMs/Routers, MRP, Purchasing, Transactions).
• Handle all personnel-related issues, including hiring, discipline, performance reviews, and terminations.
• Facilitate effective communication among employees, customers, vendors, and management.
• Monitor production order cycle times to meet turnover goals.
• Execute material requisitions to support demands, reorder points, safety stock, and manually derived requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Code of Conduct guidelines and educate employees on these guidelines.
• Manage all aspects of scheduling production through the plant, including SIOP analysis.

What is Required for the Role:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience in Materials Management or 10 years related work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership aptitude.
• Expertise in planning, purchasing, logistics, and supplier management principles and best practices.
• Skilled negotiator and innovative problem solver, proficient at reducing costs and fulfilling cycle times.
• Verbal and written communication skills, including presenting and facilitating team meetings.
• Team player with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and geographically at all levels of an organization.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, adherence to attendance policy, and sound judgment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in SAP and experience in SAP is highly desirable.
