The Facilities Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure that the premises are maintained at the highest standards to provide a functional and safe environment for employees and clients.  

The regular scheduled shift for this role is Monday - Thursday, 4:30PM - 3:00AM.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Review and manage Facilities/R&M Service Tickets to ensure timely completion of scheduled preventative maintenance and repair work on facility and production systems.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair site HVAC systems, associated electrical and plumbing systems, and building management systems.
• Conduct daily facility rounds and inspections, reporting on conditions affecting site operations.
• Oversee and ensure proper execution of tasks by Field Service and equipment maintenance contractors on all site systems.
• Respond promptly to site events or emergencies, as required by a 24/7/365 operational schedule.
• Prepare and update reports detailing building conditions or equipment issues, providing root cause analysis and recommending preventative measures.
• Act as a proactive self-starter by learning from OEM Manuals to become the SME for all assigned site equipment regarding operational and service practices.
• Develop expertise in site safety and infrastructure by reviewing OEM manuals, with a focus on BMS, fire/life safety, and other ancillary safety systems.
• Demonstrate exemplary behavior by adhering to Heraeus EHS safety procedures and standards.
• Ensure and uphold compliance with all applicable federal, local, and state ordinances and regulations.

Your Profile:

• High school diploma or equivalent; EPA 608 Technician Certification preferred.
• 3 – 4 years of experience in a related field with a strong track record.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong capacity for planning and systematic review.
• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems maintenance.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Solid mechanical, welding, and electrical skills and aptitudes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge effective relationships with contractors and Heraeus personnel.
• Strong time management skills with an emphasis on punctuality and meeting targeted deadlines.
• Basic Project Management skills and experience, with a focus on delivering results.
