The Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate processing and execution of precious metals trades. This role involves close collaboration with traders and various departments to manage the full operational lifecycle of trades, from execution to shipment and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Execution: Execute trades using SAP and work with traders in day-to-day operations.
Inventory Management: Ensure the safe and prompt physical shipment of high-value company inventory.
Advisory: Advise traders on best shipment practices and alert traders and customers of metal arrival schedules.
Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding shipments, confirmations, and payments; confirm trades.
Operational Management: Manage the full operational lifecycle of all trades, including pool account transfers.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile pool/lease accounts and confirmations with customers and affiliated companies.
Futures Reconciliation: Reconcile daily future trades, match daily future positions based on broker’s statements, and perform monthly reconciliation of open and closed futures.
Price Maintenance: Maintain daily fixing, future, and spot prices in the system.
Contract Management: Maintain monthly contracts in the system in coordination with traders.
Specification Management: Maintain metal specifications, certificates of conformance, and match them with customer requirements.
Cash Management: Assist the Supervisor with daily cash requirements.
Compliance: Comply with insurance and customs requirements.
Invoice Approval: Monitor and approve invoices received from vendors.
Customs Clearance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with customs clearance.
Margin Validation: Check and validate daily margin requirements with brokers.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience
A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, and a minimum of five years of experience trading operations
within a precious metals or similar commodity environment. The equivalent combination of education and
experience will be considered. Must demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office is required. Experience using SAP is preferred.
