Incumbent will support the Sales Department in product application and technical sales support projects. The incumbent will help develop and build peripheral systems required for Heraeus Electro-Nite Co. LLC., (HEN) product and technology trials (field and in-house). The incumbent will also assist in technical presentations with customers and collaborate with project team members (including customers) to design, set-up and gather information and data pertaining to Product Application Projects.

The ideal candidate will work out of a home office ideally located in the Louisville, KY or Cincinnati, OH area that is also nearby a major airport.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be an integral part of the Product Applications group.
  • Provide quality product application technical support, both to external customers and internal to Heraeus Electro-Nite Co. LLC .
  • Provide input to application trials of new, re-designed and existing products.
  • Assist in the development of hardware for new and existing products (e.g. connectors, cables, contact and communication systems, remote devices, etc.).
  • On-site troubleshooting and repair of peripheral systems used in conjunction with HEN products. Collaborate with other functional groups (Quality, instrumentation, Engineering and R&D) where necessary.
  •  Assist with the investigation of customer issues – work with customers and sales staff when technical issues come up.
  • Assist in product Demos, Evaluations and Equipment start-ups as necessary.
  • Maintain regular communications and updates on projects to all involved HEN personnel.
  • Regular customer visits and field work are important aspects of this position which will require extensive travel by car and or air.

What is Required for the Role

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. Relocation Assistance is not available.
  • Minimum of 2 years electrical or electronic engineering, or related technical studies, associate degree or technical degree preferred.
  • Previous technical working experience in an industrial field highly preferred.
  • Experience with test fixture design and writing software code a plus.
  • The ability to troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions and explain technical material to a broad range of people.
  • Comfortable in discussions with customers with demonstrated professionalism and proven strategic thinking ability.
  • Basic understanding of computer communications interfaces, computer networking and basic office software (MS Office) a must..
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel, on average 75%, via car and or airplane.
