Sr. Project Manager - R&D

Summary
This role will lead a cross functional team to ensure completion of the project according to project schedule and budget.The Sr. Project Manager will also manage and direct project activities needed to achieve project objectives.This role will be the key point of contact for the contract manufacturing of electrophysiology devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage project according to project schedule.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to create an aligned overall project plan and schedule for complex projects (e.g. contract development and manufacturing of catheter assemblies, continuous improvement, and/or site transfer projects between development and manufacturing facilities)
- Manage and direct project activities needed to achieve project objectives, with a strong understanding of project needs, risks, and timing necessary to meet competing project schedules
- Anticipate, assess, and mitigate project risks
·Effectively communicate complex information with varying levels of collaborators, including customers and stakeholders
·Complies with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per Heraeus Medical Components. Quality System.
·Other duties may be assigned as required.
Minimum Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or related technical field required.
·Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience required including previous experience in the medical device industry
·Expert level knowledge and application of processes development and project management principles
·Great communication skills with a high emotional intelligence
·Demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse group of project stakeholders including customers, executives, peers, managers, and subject matter experts
·Proven competence in completing projects according to established scope, budget, and timelines
·An established history of leading teams and cross-functional relationships
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
·Knowledge of business and management principles and new product development process
·Fluent in spoken and written business English and Spanish
·Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%, mainly between Minnesota and Costa Rica
·Valid Passport and USA visa
Preferred Experience
·Master’s degree in project management
·Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
·Project manager for catheter project
·Catheter assembly process experience
·Electrical engineering, Electronic Manufacturing or electrical catheter system knowledge
