Summary

The Manufacturing Manager is a key member of the site leadership team, reporting to the Site GM and VP of Operations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence with a strong focus on throughput optimization, capacity effectiveness, and workforce management across multiple shifts. The Manufacturing Manager provides strategic oversight of production operations, technical functions, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer delivery requirements.

This position requires broad management expertise, cross-functional leadership skills, and mastery-level knowledge in manufacturing operations, with the ability to apply technical depth or broad expertise across multiple related areas. The Manufacturing Manager influences site-wide strategies, champions innovative practices, and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute site-level manufacturing strategies that align with corporate objectives and support throughput, capacity, and delivery performance.
  • Lead and mentor supervisors, production teams, and technical professionals (including manufacturing engineers and CNC programmers), building leadership capability and fostering collaboration across multiple shifts.
  • Partner with planning, procurement, engineering, and quality to ensure seamless integration of production schedules and operational priorities.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that integrate manufacturing operations with engineering and process improvements, including automation and advanced technologies.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs for throughput, capacity, and labor efficiency; present insights and recommendations to site leadership.
  • Represent manufacturing in site leadership forums, influencing decisions on capacity planning, capital investments, and operational priorities.

What is Required for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 12+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven success in strategic planning and execution, managing multi-shift operations, and leading diverse teams including supervisors and technical professionals.
  • Broad management expertise and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to apply technical depth or broad expertise across multiple related areas.
  • Ability to introduce best practices while identifying opportunities for improvement in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment—comfortable shaping processes and driving scalability.
  • Strong change leadership, communication, and people development skills to build high-performing teams and influence site-wide initiatives for production operations.
