Position Summary:

The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor is primarily responsible for ensuring efficient material flow, optimized storage, timely shipments, and accurate inventory records.  They are a working supervisor, overseeing and assisting with the day-to-day operations.  They are also responsible for process improvement, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and analyzing data to support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to) the Following:

  • Coordinate and improve material flow between departments and off-site locations; often working with hazardous materials.
  • Optimize storage locations and ensure timely delivery of materials using SAP and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system.
  • Manage inventory movement, storage, processing and obsolete inventory.
  • Direct packaging, storage, and distribution operations per legal and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Material, waste management, and EHS guidelines.
  • Oversee receiving, loading, and unloading of goods, ensuring accurate tracking with EWM.
  • Monitor and assist with logistical movements, including foreign shipment documentation and hazardous material paperwork.
  • Supervise and assist Warehouse & Logistic Technicians, including training and performance management.
  • Collaborate with material planners for material availability and staging.
  • Report and investigate EHS incidents, ensuring corrective actions and maintaining records.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in supply cahin or related field.  Three to five years of shipping and/or warehouse leadership experience supporting a manufacturing environment is requires.  The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • SAP and chemical industry experience is preferred.
  • Dangerous Goods (DG), US Department of Transportaiton (DOT), and International Air Transport Association (IATA) certifications are preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other powered industrial equipment is required.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear while performing job duties.
  • Considerable use of arms, legs, and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • May be required to manually lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.
