•    As an experienced R&D engineer, you will carry out projects for the development and optimization of processes for the production and further processing of Nitinol tubes for medical applications
•    This includes the planning, implementation and evaluation of tests in the field of tube drawing and heat treatment (shape setting, super elasticity annealing), as well as the documentation and presentation of the results
•    In addition, you will work on transferring new technologies and processes into serial production; you will assist in the selection and qualification of suppliers, specify and manage the procurement of the necessary production equipment and materials
•    In doing so, you will work closely with internal and external departments in interdisciplinary project teams, e.g. with contacts from process development, supply chain management, quality management and production
•    With strong communication skills and empathy, you will achieve the involvement of the various process participants - especially in an international environment
•    You will ensure that customer requirements always remain the focus, even in complex projects, to implement Heraeus Medevio's growth-oriented strategy
•    By developing new technologies and applying existing ones, you will work with customers to find solutions and ensure that all specifications are met and regulatory requirements (e.g. ASTM F2063, ISO 13485) are complied with
•    Degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, medical technology or related fields
•    Extensive professional expertise as a project engineer in technology and process development, preferably in a regulated environment (medical devices and their quality requirements)
•    In-depth expertise in the development and production of tubes or other semi-finished products made of Nitinol, including comprehensive knowledge of the relevant plant technology
•    Experience with upstream and downstream methods such as deep hole drilling, heat treatment, shape setting, surface treatment (e.g. electropolishing)
•    Hands-on experience with various project management methods and the use of corresponding tools such as Six Sigma and DOE
•    Strong customer orientation with a high focus on achieving goals
•    Excellent written and spoken English, relevant for communication with the global Medevio organization and our international customers
•    Confident, communicative personality with an international orientation, who is results-oriented and works independently to solve problems together as a team
•    Very good knowledge of MS Office applications
