The primary responsibility of this position is to optimize the handling and processing of slag generated by the Smelter as well as Converter and SDF, while keeping backlog and financing costs to a minimum.

Your Role and Responsiblities:

  • Technical and disciplinary management of the Slag processing Team
  • Coordination between Customer Service and Production to ensure OTD of orders
  • Ensuring timely processing and sampling of Slag Material
  • Scheduling orders based on Outside processors and 3rd party  requirements and production capacity
  • Capacity planning in alignment with production
  • Generate daily and weekly production plans, as well as short-term forecasting of production output
  • Plan and coordinate production orders and raw materials / MRP-planning
  • Troubleshooting PM balancing in production orders to track metal recovered in the process.
  • Working with PM controlling to ensure accurate yields of refinery orders. 
  • Measure the productivity and adjusts methods, processes, procedures and training where needed to increase productivity, efficiency and safety.
  • Assures precious metal security and precious metal tracking in the department and during handovers to other departments

What is required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s or higher Degree or related field is preferable
  • minimum of 10 years working experience in the Precious Metals field
  • Flexible to work long hours as required
  • Up to 10% travel required
