JOB PURPOSE

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead all technical aspects of complex catheter manufacturing lines.  To manage (either indirectly or directly) a process development team to develop and qualify complex processes for catheter manufacturing lines.  You will be a key partner to support programs needs and complete program on time and on budget.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead an engineering team to design, development, validation activities through product life cycle for complex assemblies in accordance with project scope and budget
2. Manage project technical activities needed to achieve project objectives, with a strong understanding of new product development and transfer process.
3. Provide significant guidance regarding technical strategies and approaches; works cross-functionally in identifying, analyzing and resolving technical issues.
4. Execute process characterization skills and tools such as Design of Experiments (DOE), pFMEA, scale up factors, mitigation to foreseen risks, and capability analysis to make data-driven decisions utilizing engineering principles
5. Assure robustness and accuracy of developed processes including establishing processes with high capability within project budget.
6. Coaching and mentoring less experienced engineers to develop individual team member career development. 

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree (or superior) in an Engineering discipline or related technical field.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Advanced level knowledge and application of process development
• Great communication skills with a high emotional intelligence
• Demonstrated experience of process development, capability, optimization and validation.
• Experience in improving processes
• An established experienced of leading technical teams and cross-functional relationships
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in spoken and written business English and Spanish.
• Electrical engineering, Electronic Manufacturing or electrical catheter system knowledge
• Catheter manufacturing or process development experience

EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of relevant work experience required in similar roles.
• 5 years of expertise at medical companies.
• 2-3 years of experience as Senior Engineer
• Transfer Process Projects implementation (preferred)

LICENCE OR CERTIFICATION

• Master’s degree in project management (preferred)
