The following challenges await you:
- As an intern in our Operating Company "Heraeus Precious Metals" you will make a valuable contribution to the Data Science Team.
- Leverage varied domain knowledge to architect and roll-out cutting-edge solutions which tackle uncharted business challenges.
- Craft and deploy end-to-end data pipelines, from data ingestion to visualization.
- Support development and operations of machine learning models and algorithms.
- Contribute to optimizing business processes by working on a wide variety of data science projects ranging from R&D and manufacturing, to finance and sustainability.
- Excited to collaborate in an international environment together with cross-functional teams.
Your profile:
- Enrolled in a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics or related fields
- Enthusiasm for the field of AI
- Requirement from your academic institution to complete a mandatory internship with a duration of at least 4 months
- Experience programming in Python, SQL, R or related language
- Initial experience with data analysis platforms (e.g., Dataiku, Splunk, RapidMiner), with databases (e.g., SAP HANA, MSSQL, MongoDB), and with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Grafana, Power BI) are an advantage
- Good knowledge of the English language and MS Office
- Analytical skills and able to work successfully, both independently and as part of a team
