Job Purpose

This role will be a part of a cross functional team to ensure completion of the project according to project schedule and budget. As part of the process development team, you will be responsible for creating robust and sustainable manufacturing processes for medical components and devices.

Major responsibilities

Key process owner for processes for new product development and transfer projects according to project schedule and in compliance with applicable regulations and Quality Systems.

  • Participates in the execution of the process design, development, and validation activities for medical devices through the product development process.
  • Able to determine solutions for problems, process selection decisions, and technical challenges
  • Leverages documents such as process validation protocols or engineering studies that demonstrate technical rationale for associated decision.
  • Works collaboratively with technicians and operators on the production floor to solve technical problems.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Education       

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field strongly preferred; other relevant postsecondary education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.

Knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
  • Medium to Fluent in spoken and written business English and Spanish.
  • Able to execute and communicate on any technical and/or project workstreams.
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to all audiences including manager and production employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop cross-functional relationships and influence to drive results.
  • Adaptable to the need for continuous improvements and continued change to meet company needs.

Experience

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience required.
