Incumbent will provide onsite service and support to customers in a specified region (Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Arizona). Support and service would include routine as well as urgent visits to customer sites to ensure that HEN’s equipment and products are in working order and that there is no interruption to the customer’s production schedule due to instrument/sensor related issues.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite service and support to customers including routine as well as urgent visits to customer sites to ensure that Heraeus Electro Nite's (HEN) equipment and products are in working order and that there is no interruption to the customer’s production schedule due to instrument/sensor related issues.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and conduct trials.
  • Evaluate, track and record inventory levels at customer sites.
  • Build poles and conduct preventative maintenance on all HEN equipment in the field.  

What is Required for this Role:

  • HS diploma or equivalent GED required. Associate’s degree, technical degree or equivalent technical training certificate in the following areas of study: steel industry technology, electricity, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, industrial maintenance or other industrial field highly desired.A combination of education, training, and/or equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience in steel mills, iron foundry or other molten metals processing facilities desired.    
  • Must be a self-starter and career minded with a customer-centric mindset with the willingness to learn on the job.
  • Must be willing to go out on service calls during traditional business hours and or nontraditional business hours such as evenings or weekends.
  • Must be willing to work in hot and cold industrial environment & adhere to strict safety policies, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and can occasionally lift and or move up to 50lbs.
  • Regular daily and some overnight travel required. Occasional travel outside the immediate region/assigned territory may be required.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass background check and drug screen.
