Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure conformance of materials and finished products to

specifications. Inspect materials and products according to specification and following SOPs.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and document product to bother internal and customer prints and specifications. Record appropriate quality and production information to verify that product meets requirements.
  • Segregate nonconforming product per procedure and assist MRB Processing.
  • Inspect manufactured products to ensure that product meets all customer requirements as specified on drawings and other inspection criteria, e.g. dimensions, visual, stress, surface and interior defects
  • Interpret Heraeus inspection standards, manufacturing drawings and customer related inspection criteria.
  • Cleaning and proper packaging of products
  • Properly use required instruments, tools and equipment.
  • Maintain quality control documents, inspection reports, check sheets, reports and files.
  • Control non-conforming product and ensure correct disposition.
  • Keep quality control areas, tools and instruments clean and organized.
  • Follow safe working practices including wearing all personal protective equipment.

What is required for the role:

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • 5 years minimum previous Quality experience in a manufacturing setting)
  • Ability to measure rigid components for flatness, parallelism, diameter, and thickness using surface plate, height gage, indicator, micrometer and calipers.
  • Ability to setup and measure parts using CMM to document flatness, parallelism, true position, and profile.
  • Program new product for CMM inspection (Calypso preferred)
  • Keen eye for detail and visual ability to detect multiple inspection points
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
