The following challenges await you: 

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support to the Engineers and Scientists within the R&D Department as they develop new and modify existing products.
  • Conduct research activities as assigned. Perform functions such as batching, milling, printing and testing of products.
  • Operate a broad array of laboratory processes and equipment in order to conduct routine tests on products. Perform troubleshooting, selecting solutions among proven alternatives.
  • Compile testing results with analysis to assist Engineers and Scientists.
  • Make choices within established procedures, with occasional supervisor consultation.
  • Record precise results and findings in laboratory book, database and/or files.
  • Provide basic information to other departments as needed.
  • Follow safety guidelines for handling materials with the use of protective equipment as required.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of working area, laboratory instruments and equipment.

Your Profile: 

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline, and a minimum of 2 or more years of experience in a laboratory setting are required.
  • Experience within materials science or related field is preferred.
  • Self-starter with an attention to detail required.
  • Must have a broad proficiency with equipment operation and testing procedures with a fundamental understanding of the science behind it.
  • Familiarity with metals, glass, oxides, resins, solvents and associated properties is preferred.
