Summary

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse & Logistics Technician is to manage the flow of materials, optimize storage solutions, and ensure timely shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records using advanced systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks, tracking shipments using the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system.
  • Optimize storage locations and ensure timely delivery of materials using EWM system.
  • Prepare labels for packaged materials using SAP and legacy processes.
  • Manage logistical movements and daily shipments, including foreign shipment documentations, including hazardous material paperwork, SDS confirmation, and bills of lading.
  • Move freight, stock, and materials using carts, hand trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Pull, stage and track raw materials for daily production needs using EWM system.  Complete staging in SAP before physical staging.
  • Generate and attach identifying tags to containers and mark incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Perform waste management duties and record activities in the EWM system.
  • Update EWM system regularly to reflect inventory levels and maintain organization and cleanliness of the working area following 5S guidelines.

Education and/or Experience

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. One year of experience in a shipping or warehouse role is required.  Organizational skills, teamwork skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to drive a forklift and other powered industrial equipment are required.
