Position Summary

Location Ramos Arizpe Coahuila

The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing production equipment and processes through automation solutions. This role leads projects from concept to full implementation, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and cost optimization while collaborating with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and global teams.

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead assigned automation projects ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, solution analysis, risk assessments, and cost-benefit evaluations
  • Establish and maintain structured project planning and provide regular updates to the Plant Manager and the global team.
  • Analyze production processes, identify cost-saving, efficiency improvement, opportunities and optimize plant layouts following Lean Manufacturing principles,
  •  Supplier Management
  •  Supervise equipment installation, commissioning, and validation and  compile and maintain technical construction files and documentation
  •  Manage the technical and financial closure of projects.
  •  Evaluate project costs and ensure alignment with budget targets

What you will bring

  •  Mínimum bachelor degree or Master's degree preferred a technical field (Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields).
  •  Lean Manufacturing and OEE principles.
  •  Mexican labor and safety regulations: STPS and NOM standards.
  •  Mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, automation, and electronics.
  •   Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  •   Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  •   Solid project management capabilities (planning, budgeting, reporting).
  •   Electricity and electrical safety
  •  3-5 years of experience in an international manufacturing environment.
  •  Demonstrated experience in managing technical and automation-focused projects
  •  Supplier Negotiation
  •  Cross-functional Teamwork
